DLUHC project to understand the state of play in post occupancy evaluation

If you carry out post-occupancy evaluations in your developments we want to hear from you.

We’re working with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities to review the current landscape in relation to post-occupancy evaluations in housing.

We’d love to hear from practitioners in the built environment to see how these are being applied in practice.

What do we mean by post-occupancy evaluations?

We’re talking about the process for evaluating the performance of a home and/or neighbourhood once someone has moved in, to find out if it’s meeting the needs of its occupants, identify areas for improvement and provide learning that informs better decisions in the future.

It can include a variety of methods, such as surveys, data analysis, walk-throughs and focus groups, and can help identify areas for improvement and/or optimise building performance, reduce energy usage and improve occupant comfort and satisfaction.

How do I get involved?

If you do anything like that in your work, please do fill in this short survey.

Thank you!
