Partners
As a charity, the Quality of Life Foundation is fortunate to be supported by some brilliant funders and partners, whose contributions enable us to carry out our charitable activities. We’re extremely grateful for their support.
We also generate our own funds through our consultancy services, the profits of which go straight back into the charity.
Grant funders
We’re supported by the National Lottery Community Fund, which pays for some of our core costs and ensures that we can keep working towards our charitable aims. This has come through the Growing Great Ideas programme, which has a focus on supporting transformational and long-term change.
Research funders
Our research funding allows us to carry out specific research projects to help us build the evidence base on why and how we can improve the way homes and neighbourhoods are created and cared for in the UK. At the moment, we’re supported by two research funders:
- UK Research and Innovation Arts and Humanities Research Council: We’re collaborating on a large-scale research project – Community Consultation for Quality of Life (CCQOL) – with the universities of Reading, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Ulster. This is a two-year, UKRI-funded project into community engagement.
- Built By Nature: We’re investigating the effects of mass timber on both building performance and health and wellbeing, working with dRMM and Edinburgh Napier University.
