New partnership with Civic Engineers

We are excited to announce Civic Engineers as our newest core partner.

The structural, civil and transport engineering consultancy is known across the sector for its commitment to sustainable and resilient design practices.

With a track record of providing engineering solutions that prioritise environmental stewardship, community wellbeing, and long-term sustainability, the firm will advise and collaborate with the Foundation on best practice across the industry.

Core partners and supporters provide funding or pro bono support to help us carry out our core charitable objectives. Partners also fulfil the role of industry leaders, demonstrating their commitment to improving quality of life across the country.

Civic Engineers is providing us with a fantastic office space that will enable us to carry out our charitable work with smaller overheads.

Matthew Morgan, our Director, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Civic Engineers on board as a core partner.

“The Quality of Life Foundation works to ensure health and wellbeing are prioritised in the way the UK creates and cares for homes and neighbourhoods.

“By partnering with Civic Engineers, we’re highlighting the fact that it is not simply house builders and developers who have a role to play in shaping the lives of residents in the homes that are built. There is a much wider community of professionals within the built environment industry whose work can positively impact on people’s quality of life.

“Civic Engineers embodies that, and we’re proud to call the company our partner.”

Paul Morris, Director of Civic Engineers, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating: “The Quality of Life Foundation is committed to helping the built environment industry focus on how it can benefit people’s health and wellbeing in the long term.

“This focus aligns with our vision of having a positive impact on the environment and enabling people to lead healthier and happier lives. It also  aligns with our values, a key one of which is collaboration.

“We’re pleased to become a core partner as it is only by sharing best practice, taking part in research, and working together, that the industry can make real change and put wellbeing and people-centred design at the heart of our work.”

This partnership underscores our commitment to improving the quality of life in communities across the country by fostering collaboration and promoting people-centric design within the built environment industry.

The support of partners helps the Foundation to do vital work that isn’t funded through specific projects. These include undertaking research and sharing best practice (through reports such as Creating Healthy Places Through Planning, Creating Community Through Construction), running events and managing our Associates’ network. The latter two strands bring together professionals with expertise from across the built environment, social value, wellbeing and healthcare to discuss solutions that will help create positive change in the way the UK creates and cares for homes and neighbourhoods.
